TRICARE Formulary Search Tool
Use the TRICARE Formulary Search Tool to look-up your drug. A search can tell you:
- Formulary status (generic drug, brand-name drug, non-formulary drug, non-covered drug)
- Where the prescription can be filled
- Copayments and limitations, such as prior authorization
- Coverage review requirements and forms
- Alternative medications, including costs
To start your search, you’ll need to put in the brand name or generic name of the drug and then select the strength prescribed, as well as your gender and age.
Activating Prescriptions
All new or renewed prescriptions must be activated before medications will be dispensed.
Activate prescriptions online by visiting the DHA pharmacies page or texting GET IN LINE to 833-464-1352 and following the prompts.
If seen by an on-base provider, pick up at the Hospital (Main) Pharmacy.
If seen by an off-base provider, pick up at the Satellite (Base Exchange) Pharmacy.
Refilling Prescriptions
Please use our automated refill system by calling 228-376-1000.
Choose Option 1 to pick up your refill at the Satellite (BX) Pharmacy.
Choose Option 2 to pick up your refill at the ScriptCenter lockers, located next to the BX Food Court. Note: No refrigerated items or controlled substances can be picked up at the ScriptCenter.
Alternatively, you can refill your medications online using the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal. Refills take, on average, three days to fill. Prescriptions not picked up within 10 duty days will be returned to stock.
Drug Takeback Options
To dispose of any medications or controlled substances, utilize our blue medication safes in the Hospital (Main) Pharmacy or the Satellite (BX) Pharmacy lobbies. To dispose of any used needles or sharps, utilize our red sharps safes in the Hospital (Main) Pharmacy or Satellite (BX) Pharmacy lobbies.
