The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
Our military hospital remains open and we’re continuing to provide healthcare services. Scheduled appointments and procedures are proceeding as planned, and new appointments continue to be booked. Contraceptive Care Walk-in Clinic

Get all your contraceptive care in one place at Keesler Medical Center’s Contraceptive Care Walk-in Clinic.
 
The clinic is open every Friday, 7:30 - 11:30 a.m., except holidays and family days. The last check in is at 11 a.m.

Walk-in contraception services are available to all active duty service members and eligible beneficiaries on a space-available basis.

How it Works

The patient can start a new birth control method, get a refill, or change birth control methods. Patients need to schedule an appointment for any issues other than contraception.
